2. Estabrook Dog Park
Estabrook dog park is a play area to let your dog run off-leash, located in Estabrook Park. This dog park is near downtown Milwaukee. To get into the dog park a $5 day pass must be purchased, or if you live in the area you can buy an annual membership for $25. Dogs visiting this dog park must be fully vaccinated, and when in the park they must have a tag to show they are properly registered. This rule applies to most of the dog parks in Milwaukee county. This dog park is around 3 acres and is fully fenced off. There is a separate area for smaller, and older dogs to play safely. The ground is grass and lets your pup play without getting that dirty. A very simple dog park, there are a few benches located in the park, as well as water fountains and poop bags. After visiting the dog park you can take a stroll around the popular Estabrook park. Estabrook Park is where the dog play area is located, but dogs must be on a leash when not in the designated area.
3. Roverwest Dog Park
Roverwest is a large open dog park located in the neighborhood of Riverwest Milwaukee. This dog park is fully fenced and is a grassy field with enough space for any breed to have fun. Poop bags and water bowls are available for your use. A few benches are placed around this park, but there is a lack of trees. With such few trees, it may be hard to find shade, and can easily get too hot in the summer. If you live in the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee or are passing by this dog park is a fun spot to let your pup run, and socialize with others. Like other dog parks in the area, there is a 5 dollar fee, or you can buy an annual pass that costs around $25 if you plan on visiting regularly.
4. West Allis Dog Park
First opening in 2019, West Allis dog park is a fairly new play area found in the West Allis region of Milwaukee county. Like other dog parks in Milwaukee, this park charges a $5 daily fee to get in or $25 yearly for residents. If you plan on visiting this park regularly, but do not live in the area you can purchase a $50 yearly membership. Each dog you plan to bring to this park requires a membership, and must be fully vaccinated, similar to the other parks on this list. West Allis dog park has an area for all dogs, but also a fenced-off section for smaller breeds to safely have fun. This dog park is around 4.4 acres of open space. There are trees for shade and benches. Water and poop bags are provided if you do not have your own. West Allis dog park is a medium-sized dog park. The ground is grass and dirt which gets muddy easily in the wetter seasons.
5. Currie Dog Park Exercise Area
The Currie dog park exercise area is an area designated for letting your pup enjoy the off-leash time. Fully fenced in, this dog park is separated into two areas. One area is for all dogs and is a massive 10 acres of space for them to enjoy. A separate area of around 1.5 acres is fenced off for smaller breeds. This dog park has plenty of open space and a wooded area for shade. Oakleaf trail is nearby if you want to go on a hike. The trail is near the park and is 135 miles, but dogs must be on a leash shorter than 6 feet. Well maintained, Curried Dog park requires a membership to get like some of the other parks in the Milwaukee area. It is large and open and only costs $5 to get in for the day.
6. Warnimont Dog Park
Warnimont dog park is a large area located behind the Kelly Senior Center in Warnimont Park. This dog park is a large 5 acres, and great for letting your pup escape from the busy city environment. There is a separate area for smaller breeds to play that is also fully fenced off. There are plenty of trees for shade, and benches to sit and watch your pup. An open dog park with a natural grass surface, you can expect to have a muddy pooch if you plan a trip here during the wet season. 7. Runway Dog Exercise Area
One of the largest dog parks in Milwaukee County, the Runway Dog Exercise area provides 26 acres for your pooch to get all of its energy out off-leash. A large field allows any breed to have enough space to safely have fun, but there is also a separate fenced-off area for only smaller dogs. The massive size of these dog parks makes them ever too crowded and perfect for the breeds who love to sprint long distances. Most of this dog park is wide open space, but there is also agility equipment, and wood chips trails to enjoy in the larger section. In the rainy seasons, this dog park easily gets muddy, bring a towel if you plan on going during that season.
8. Granville Dog Park
If your dog likes large spaces, then this dog park is for you. Granville dog park is 10 acres of land, dedicated for your furry friend to have the time of their life. As an off-leash area, this dog park has woodlands, hills, and grassy areas for them to run around in. Different trails circle the park so you have areas for walks as well. There are poop bags near the entrance for free. This dog park also has water areas if your dog likes to get wet. Granville dog park is not fully fenced and is quite large. Before taking your dog here it is best if they reliably follow voice commands, like stay, and come.
